Spiced Hot Chocolate
You can't beat a good hot chocolate and as this one contains cacao powder, cinnamon and almond milk it is actually good for you! If you prefer it less sweet, simply reduce or omit the maple syrup. The spice makes it the perfect winter warmer - best served in front of the fire!
- 250 ml almond milk (or dairy-free milk of your choice)
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- pinch sea salt
Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and place over a medium heat.
Bring to a simmer but don't let it boil.
Continue to simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour it into a mug and enjoy!
